Outgoing administrative letters, 1881-1902.

These outgoing administrative letters document the administration of the Railroad Commission. They reflect matters that have an impact on the program areas of that department. This series consists of outgoing letters from Walter L. Bragg, Henry R. SHorter, James Crook, and John V. Smith. All served as President of the Railroad Commission between 1881 and 1902. A large portion of the letters are addressed to railroad companies. Subjects discussed include rates, freight and passenger tariffs, and depot and passenger accomodations. Other topics include legislation, and notification of hearing dates to settle disputes.
